They are made with materials designed to care for your baby:

• Cover: 100% organic cotton, soft and safe, with OEKO-TEX and GOTS certifications. Additionally, it features a water-repellent protective cover for added protection.
• Filling: plush yet firm foam, certified by OEKO-TEX and with flame-retardant treatment for greater safety.

What are the dimensions and thickness of the mats?

135 cm x 100 cm and 2 cm thick. Ideal for facilitating free movement without obstacles.

Are they safe for newborns?

Yes. Tombarella mats are designed to provide a safe space from day one:

• Made from 100% certified cotton (OEKO-TEX and GOTS) and certified foam, free from harmful substances for the baby’s sensitive skin.
• Comply with European standard EN71 and CE marking, which guarantee safety in children’s products.
• They offer a plush yet firm surface, ideal for keeping the newborn comfortable, protected, and with a flame-retardant treatment for added safety.

Recommendation: always use on a flat surface and under adult supervision.

Until what age can they be used?

There is no fixed limit. They are evolutionary mats with many usage possibilities, adapting to each stage of development. Thanks to their large size and high-quality materials, they are ideal for a long time, unlike other models that quickly become too small.

• From birth: perfect for resting, first games, movements, and discoveries.
• When learning to sit, crawl, or walk: they cushion falls without restricting freedom, as the base has the right thickness and is dense and firm to not obstruct their movements.
• Later on: they become a play area, reading nook, relaxation space, or even a psychomotor area. Their fun and carefree designs make them useful and decorative as children grow, not just during the baby stage.

Can they be used on cold or hard floors?

Yes. Thanks to their thickness and firm foam, they insulate from the cold and cushion on hard surfaces.

What is the difference with EVA/foamy mats?

Tombarella mats are made with certified organic cotton and plush foam, making them more comfortable, breathable, and safe for the baby’s skin. Additionally, they are removable and washable, allowing for better maintenance and hygiene.

They are also more natural and sustainable, as they use materials like organic cotton in their manufacture, ideal for delicate skin, soft and pleasant to the touch.

In contrast, EVA mats tend to be rigid, less comfortable, non-breathable, and generally do not use sustainable materials. Furthermore, they deteriorate more easily and are harder to keep clean.

Finally, our mats fold and transport easily, while foamy ones tend to be puzzle-like and bulkier.

Are they suitable for tummy time and free movement?

Yes. Tombarella mats offer a firm, safe, and comfortable surface. They are ideal for the baby to practice tummy time comfortably and to move freely from the first months, promoting their motor development and free movement.

What collections are available and how do they differ?

We have 5 collections, each designed to provide a unique style:

• Calm: soft tones and motifs aimed at newborns, perfect for creating relaxing environments.
• Sea: fresh colors that evoke the calm of the sea.

Can I customize the design or color?

No. Tombarella mats are only available in the current collections and colors we offer on the website.

Do you have packs or promotions for buying multiple products?
